AGM 2021 Update
Just a quick update on the AGM, further to the email sent to all members on the 18th January.
Committee Positions
We have had single nominations for all committee positions except the role of membership secretary. We are therefore still looking for a member that would be willing to serve the club in this role - if you would like to find out more about the role please contact Rob D via email on membership@leicesterforest.com. If you would like to nominate yourself, please email Pete A on secretary@leicesterforest.com.
The membership secretary role looks after membership applications, maintains our members list, sends emails and letters to the whole club on behalf of the committee. The role is central to the functioning of the club. Please do consider putting yourself forward for this role.
Virtual AGM (Monday 8th Feb, 7pm)
As outlined in the email on the 18th, we will not be having a meeting in person this year. As a consequence, the reports which are normally given in the AGM have already been emailed out to the membership.
We are however planning to have an virtual meeting on the 8th February for two purposes, normally covered at the AGM:
- To allow the membership to ask any questions relating the the reports;
- To elect members to the committee.
Our intention had been, should more than one candidate be proposed and a be vote required, to capture the membership's votes via email (as managing a vote in the virtual meeting facilities we have is difficult).
As we only have single nominations for each committee role (with the exception of membership as above), there is no requirement for a vote. We shall however use the virtual meeting to 'second' any candidates and appoint candidates to the committee.
