200km cycling event starting from Wigston Rd,Oadby, Leicester. Controls at Bottesford, Edith Weston and Brixworth, plus 2 information controls.
Change of start: Wigston Rd, Oadby, Leicester. A 209km cycling event with controls at Bottesford, Edith Weston and Brixworth and 2 info controls. Commercial controls throughout
This event leaves Leicester to follow the Wreake Valley north into the Vale of Belvoir with views of Belvoir castle. The route then heads south past the eastern end of Rutland water and on to Knossington. The route then heads south past Launde Abbey, Medbourne and on to the southernmost point of Brixworth. The route back north passes through Naseby and Saddington before returning to Leicester. There are also opportunities to stop for refreshment along the way at Wymondham Windmill tea rooms, Empingham and Medbourne.

Rutland and Beyond - 100km
Description
The 'Rutland and Beyond' route heads east over rolling roads to visit England's smallest county, before returning via the Welland Valley and the east Leicestershire villages. Along the way there are rollercoaster hills, superb views, in particular over Rutland Water and the Welland Valley, and some very pretty villages. Back at the clubhouse will be hot and cold drinks & food.
For Audax newbies - an audax is a long-distance ride with check points that you have to visit in a given time limit. - this isn't as scary as it sounds when you understand that the minimum speed is 12km/h (less than 8mph). Two of the three checkpoints are cafes, which will enable you take a rest and refuel. You are required to navigate yourself between checkpoints, but you'll be given a routecard with directions to enable you to follow the recommended route. Whether you're looking to ride at a swift or leisurely pace, this rolling route has its challenges, but is achievable for a wide range of riding styles and abilities - and if you've never ridden over 100km (62miles) before, this is a great way to do it.106km cycling event starting from Thurnby Scout Hut, Thurnby Leicester. Visit Englands smallest County enjoy the superb views over Rutland Water and the Wellend Valley before returning through East Leicester Villages to the finish for hot and cold food and refreshments.
A change from the original route for 2022, especially during the first half to freshen things up a bit and to take the ride away from some of the busier, more unpleasant roads. This will also allow you to visit more beautiful parts of Leicestershire and Rutland. One extra info control will be added as a result.

Kings & Queens of mercia - 200km
Description
A 214km ride starting from Aylestone Leicester. with controls at Egginton (A38 Services), Great Haywood and a free control at Whittington. includes 4 info controls.
The ride starts by traversing Bradgate park the childhood home of Lady Jane Grey, the 8 day Queen and the Charnwood forest before passing through Repton, an important seat and burial place of many Mercian kings. Continue your journey North West along quiet lanes to Hawksmoor before turning South towards a lunchtime stop at Great Haywood's Canalside farm shop. After lunch ride past the imposing Tixall Gatehouse, once a prison to Queen Mary I. Traverse Cannock chase before entering the beautiful city of Lichfield with it's stunning cathedral, a hugely significant site to king Offa, one of Mercia's most powerful kings. Return across the gently rolling South Staffordshire and Leicestershire countryside before returning to arrivee for some well earned refreshments.
